Facing north my studio window faces the moor leading to Pendle Hill. The sky is ever changing and almost always dramatic. Quite a few of the paintings here are based on that view showing you don't need to go far to find subject matter. Observing, painting sky and clouds brings a kind of freedom, wishing I could sprout wings and join the clouds myself. Light, shade and colours dance around clouds as light is reflected and defused. Above the stress of our daily lives it's a place to be if just for a while.
